My daughter started climbing out of her crib a few months ago, she was 18 months old. We have one of those convertible cribs, so we just went ahead and upgraded her to the toddler bed. She’d hate that too and we’d end up putting it in storage until she was old enough to use it. So, we saw it as a win-win situation.

When the mattress came we were a little surprised by the box. We actually thought it might be some kind of mistake because the box was so small. But we took it out and boom instant mattress. We set it up in our daughter’s room where her crib used to be and she was up on it in a second. It was almost love at first sight. We also got her cute little pony sheets to go on it and she just loved all of it. It was like Christmas to her!

Of course the real test came at bedtime. I actually laid down with her the first night for a little bit to help her with any possible fears she may have of the big bed, and that is a really comfy bed! But even more surprising was the fact that she slept better than she has in months. We thought it was a fluke, but here we are 3 weeks later, and she is still sleeping through the night (which she had not been doing in her crib or toddler bed) and no rolling out of bed.
